The Lake mary unity Step Team was organized in 2008. Since then we have stepped at multiple community events, including Orlando Magic games, corporate events, parades, pep rallies, talent shows, and black history events. Our team has a wide range of talent from some kids who have only been on the team a few months to kids who have been on the team for years. We focus on intensity, precision, and strength!
Kalindá is an Afro-Puerto Rican ensemble dedicated to showcasing Bomba, Puerto Rico's oldest genre of music and dance. For the past six years, this exceptional group has performed across Florida and beyond, sharing the vibrant traditions of Bomba with audiences around the world. Led by Barbara Liz Cepeda, a 7th-generation member of the renowned Cepeda Family, and operating under the non-profit organization Escuela de Bomba y Plena Tata Cepeda, Kalindá is committed to preserving and educating communities about Afro-Puerto Rican music, history, and culture.

Mariposa is a 26-foot wide butterfly sculpture with over 39,000 full-color LEDs, hanging overhead. A porch swing allows visitors to flap its wings while the LEDs display dazzling animations choreographed to classical music.
Mind Wash is a 26' diameter half dome. The inner surface has over 26,000 full-color LEDs that display patterns choreographed to classical and classic rock music. Since the LEDs are in a hemisphere, every corner of peripheral vision is filled with animated light, making for an extremely immersive experience.

In May 1961, the Merita bread factory opened in Orlando along Interstate 4 near Division Avenue. For more than 50 years the waft of fresh baked bread delighted drivers along the route. Following the bakery’s closing, the new owners of the property donated this Merita sign, one of several, to the Morse Museum. These signs joined the Museum’s greater collection, and its efforts to preserve historical signs for future generations. Conservation and safekeeping ensure that these architectural treasures will recall the past and inspire sublime beauty in modern surroundings. At nearly 18 feet high and 48 feet long, the Merita sign is one of the largest objects in the Morse’s collection.

Connections is an interactive art installation that uses the metaphor of a grove of Aspen trees to express our kinship. You will see a compelling question projected on a wall, with a row of saplings waving gently underneath, their connected roots visible. Speak your answer to the question, and watch text animate and grow into a new tree. Over time, the answers (trees) decay and a new question arises, prompting an ever-evolving experience.

Happy to return to the Immerse Fest stage, The Fly Casuals are an Orlando based jazz-pop band. Formed 5 years ago in the recording studios of Valencia College, their music combines elements of jazz, funk, soul and folk, with compelling lyrics by singer-songwriter Ed Hobson, and arrangements by bassist Bryce Hayes. For the festival this year, the group features additional members in the form of featured dancers, and a horn trio led by Andre Agac-ac.

Kalindá is an Afro-Puerto Rican ensemble dedicated to showcasing Bomba, Puerto Rico's oldest genre of music and dance. For the past six years, this exceptional group has performed across Florida and beyond, sharing the vibrant traditions of Bomba with audiences around the world. Led by Barbara Liz Cepeda, a 7th-generation member of the renowned Cepeda Family, and operating under the non-profit organization Escuela de Bomba y Plena Tata Cepeda, Kalindá is committed to preserving and educating communities about Afro-Puerto Rican music, history, and culture.

Mariposa is a 26-foot wide butterfly sculpture with over 39,000 full-color LEDs, hanging overhead. A porch swing allows visitors to flap its wings while the LEDs display dazzling animations choreographed to classical music.
Mind Wash is a 26' diameter half dome. The inner surface has over 26,000 full-color LEDs that display patterns choreographed to classical and classic rock music. Since the LEDs are in a hemisphere, every corner of peripheral vision is filled with animated light, making for an extremely immersive experience.

Merita Bread sign, c. 1961 Metal, glass, neon Robert Joseph Galler, American, 1930–2014, designer Wallace Neon Manufacturing, Inc., Orlando, Florida, 1938–67, maker In the collection of The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art, Winter Park, Florida; gift of Maudlin International Trucks (2015-034:01) In May 1961, the Merita bread factory opened in Orlando along Interstate 4 near Division Avenue. For more than 50 years the waft of fresh baked bread delighted drivers along the route. Following the bakery’s closing, the new owners of the property donated this Merita sign, one of several, to the Morse Museum. These signs joined the Museum’s greater collection, and its efforts to preserve historical signs for future generations. Conservation and safekeeping ensure that these architectural treasures will recall the past and inspire sublime beauty in modern surroundings. At nearly 18 feet high and 48 feet long, the Merita sign is one of the largest objects in the Morse’s collection.

Connections is an interactive art installation that uses the metaphor of a grove of Aspen trees to express our kinship. You will see a compelling question projected on a wall, with a row of saplings waving gently underneath, their connected roots visible. Speak your answer to the question, and watch text animate and grow into a new tree. Over time, the answers (trees) decay and a new question arises, prompting an ever-evolving experience.

Kalindá is an Afro-Puerto Rican ensemble dedicated to showcasing Bomba, Puerto Rico's oldest genre of music and dance. For the past six years, this exceptional group has performed across Florida and beyond, sharing the vibrant traditions of Bomba with audiences around the world. Led by Barbara Liz Cepeda, a 7th-generation member of the renowned Cepeda Family, and operating under the non-profit organization Escuela de Bomba y Plena Tata Cepeda, Kalindá is committed to preserving and educating communities about Afro-Puerto Rican music, history, and culture.

The Bahia Shrine Drum & Bugle Corps has been performing as a drum and bugle corps since 1961 and we our own versions of many of the songs from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. We play in many styles including Country Music, Doo Wop R&B, California Sound, Samba, Eurodance, Rock n Roll, Latin and Jazz.
